AANA/SOMOS Traveling Mini-Fellowship
The SOMOS/AANA Traveling Fellowship committee will select two trainees per year to complete a two-week apprenticeship with a senior AANA faculty at their institution. SOMOS/AANA Traveling Fellows will be expected to provide a short report to the SOMOS members on their experience at the SOMOS Annual Meeting.
The Fellows will participate in all aspects of the clinical and surgical experience as well as complete supplementary hands-on and cadaveric training. All active duty military staff surgeons are encouraged to apply, including new residency and fellowship graduates. Funding will support travel and lodging for trainees to conduct the two week Traveling Fellowships at an arthroscopic center of excellence.
Applications are open now and will close on March 31, 2024. Applications will include a CV and a personal statement to address how the SOMOS/AANA Traveling Fellowship will impact their military practice and future career. Fellows will be selected based on order of merit annually.
