Fellowships will be offered to current Active Duty military orthopaedic surgeons.

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 SOMOS-OTA Traveling Fellowship. This year, we have formally combined efforts with the OTA, who has agreed to have a dedicated position for the Roy Sanders OTA Traveling Fellowship to be filled by a SOMOS member. This prestigious opportunity provides early-career military orthopaedic trauma surgeons with a unique, immersive experience at leading trauma centers across the country.

Eligibility: Active-duty military orthopaedic surgeons within 10 years of fellowship graduation
